The grading syllabus

Each stage revisits essential material while adding new techniques, forms and sparring demands. The result is cumulative skill—not a collection of disconnected tests.

Understanding the programme

Taolu
Structured forms used to develop movement quality, coordination, technique and the memory of connected sequences.
Fixed sparring
Planned partner exercises that allow timing, distance and defensive responses to be practised with control.
Sanda
Chinese free sparring that brings striking, movement and practical application together under controlled training conditions.
Grading
A structured assessment of the compulsory techniques, forms and partner work assigned to each stage of the syllabus.
